Kalpa

Our time depends on per second increment everyday. It does not go back and i is unstoppable. But interesting thing is that we can measure it mathematically like second, minute, hour. Obviously, Zepto second is the smallest unit of time and the Kalpa is the immense or long period of time.

According to Hinduism, Kalpa is the duration of time which covers complete cosmic cycle from creation to destruction of life.

Let us know deeply about the Kalpa with actual time period.

There are total 4 yugs, Satya Yug, Treta Yug, Dwapara Yug and Kali Yug. There total sum is called Maha Yug.

        Satya Yug= 1728000 years

        Treta Yug= 12,96,000 years

        Dwapara Yug= 8,64,000 years

        Kali Yug = 4,32,000 years

Total    = 43,20,000 years (Maha Yug)

71 Maha Yug will equal to 1 ManVantar.

14  ManVantar will equal to 1 Kalpa.

That  1 Kalpa is equal to 1 day or night for  Lord Brahma.

Kaal bhairav: Disastrous Shiva

Kaal bhairav is well known by Hindu religious because he was the disastrous form of lord shiva. His evolution had hilarious story in the history as written in Shiva puran.

Once lord Vishnu and Bramha had a fight for showing greatness in own power. Vishnu claimed that he was greatest than Bramha and Bramha assumed that he had lots of power than him. They started fight by using their weapons bramhastra and Narayanastra. Through their weapons, lots of fire had been evolved and expand all over the world. All the deities were worried about the destruction of world by evolving of entire fire 🔥. Lord shiva took the form of four handed kaal bhairav  and form the highest pillar of fire after getting into bombardment. Vishnu and Bramha were worried about the creation of lord shiva.

Both competitors challenged to find the top of the pillar so they moulded themselves as Bird and Barah form and flew for finding the peak. They became tired and returned back to the ground. But Bramha had lied to vishnu that he saw the top of the fire pillar and ordered to lose the game to Lord Vishnu. Bhairav was furious to Bramha because he lied to Vishnu. Bhairav cut the fifth head of Bramha through which lying sentences were vocalised after that he carried that head.

As a result of violence, Bhairav was accused of BrahmanHatya ( Brahminicide) so he wanted to clean that sin. He roamed around every  where sacred places but he didn't get the desired result. When he approached to Kashi, his sin was forgiven by God. The head of Bramha fell down after forgiveness. The head is known as " Bramha Kapal". The place where bramha head fell down is religious place, people went there for worship. This place is called Bramha Kapal temple or Badrinath

There are lots of Bhairav temple in Nepal also. One famous is in Basantapir Durbar square.

Nomenclature of Yug cycle

The cycle of time is divided into 4 yugs (satya, treta, dwapara, kali) and their time periods are 4800, 3600, 2400, 1200 divine years respectively.

The ratio or proportion of these time period are as follows :
  4800:3600:2400:1200
=4:3:2:1

Treta means thrice in Sanskrit and dwapara represents twice or double. The above ratio clearly depicts the value of each yug. So the naming system of our yugs were developed with the help of these ratios .

The most longest time was of satya yug which means the period of truth, purity, theistic while the kali yug is just opposite of satya yug. People start to develop evilness, greed, anger, falsehood inside them and live around the violence.

Dharma and Adharma: Equilibrium

In our world, each people do bear their own character, feature. They do whatever they want to do or whatever is written in their karma. Some are dharmi ( theist) and some are Adharmi( Atheist). In every yugs described in Hindu mythology, there were both dharma and adharma and mostly in Kali yug because kali itself is a time period of violence, envy, anger, greed etc.

So there must be always balance between the Theist and Atheist in this world just like two parts of the coin or two wheels of the chariot. If one is not there, there will be no fight for getting dharma and if it is not so, there will be no any developments, renovations, innovations. Fighting for Dharma against adharmi can provide balance to the nature.

It is the core principle of nature that there is always bad against good and it is needed. If only good is there, we don't do any changes in society. It is written in the Geeta , " It must destroy or finish if no any developments are happening in life ". If only Adharmi increases day by day world can be destroy as soon as possible due to war and violence.

God Krishna will be incarnate in this world when the Adharma increases enormously and said it to Arjun

Why Rama born as a normal human being?

Rama was born as a 8th incarnation of lord Vishnu from the Raghukul of Ayodhya. The main aim of Rama was to kill the most cruel king of that time, Ravana. Ravana had a blessed not to kill by god, demons etc which was given by Lord Bramha. But Ravana didn't say human and monkey while begging a blessing.

So to fulfill the destiny with recreation of dharma, lord Vishnu incarnated his 7th birth as a normal human being and eventually killed the Ravana at the end.

Did only Arjun perceive Bhagwat Geeta?

Bhagwat Geeta was preached by Vasudev Krishna to Arjun. But the story has something else that there were 3 other peoples listening to Geeta. They were Hanuman, Sanjay and Barbarik.

Hanuman

Hanuman was one of the cheeranjivies( immortal). He was from Treta yug to till now in this world but somewhere else. In treta yug, He was the greatest devotee of Ram so met lord Krishna in Dwapara yug who was the next incarnation of lord vishnu after lord Ram. Hanuman knew the story about Krishna and met with him. Hanuman requested lord Shri Krishna to preach him more knowledge. At mahabharata war Hanuman was set on the flag of chariot of Arjun and Krishna.

Sanjay

Sanjay had the power of divine eyesight " Divya dristi "which was granted by sage Byas. He was the messenger of Hastinapur. He narrated to Dhritarastra the events at Kurukshetra during war. He saw and listen all the Geeta from Shri Krishna.

Barbarik

Barbarik is the only one who saw the Mahabharata war from the first day to last. His head was placed on the top of the mountain near the battlefield by Shri Krishna as a Guru Dakshina. He listened all the Geeta from there.

Dashavatar: Evolution of life

Lord Vishnu took total 9 Avatars(incarnation) in this world and 1 yet to be incarnate in this future. All the avatars evolved had one specific purpose to come in this world( To save theist and clear out atheist). The biological evolution of life that we are learning in modern science is clearly depicting in Dashavatars of Lord Vishnu. First the small animals such as aquatic fish(Matsya) were born. Then ambhibian such as Tortoise(Kurma) after that terrestrial animals such as Boar(Barah), Lion(Narsimha) were incarnated respectively. After lion, Vishnu Incarnated him as a  Dwarf human being(Vaman) which is followed highly brave, victorious person such as Parshuram and Ram. After normal human being, Vishnu took in the form of god (Krishna and Buddha). The last avatar (kalki) yet to be incarnated. In lots of hindu books, it is written that as the sins and evils will evolved too much in this world Kalki will be incarnate.

1) Matsya( मत्स्य)

Matsya(in sanskrit: Fish) was the first avatar among 10 avatars. It was incarnated to save the world from greatest Flood and save the veda from the demon Hayagriva who steal it from God. This incarnation saved Manu and his wife Shatarupa(first human beings), Shesh Naag by tying boat with it's horn.

2) Kurma( कुर्मा)

The second avatar of Lord vishnu took in the form of Tortoise, known as Kurma. It helped deities and demons in Churning of the Ocean ( Samudra manthan) by supporting the mountain on it's shell.

3) Baraha( वराह)

Barah( in sanskrit: Boar) had been incarnated to save the earth from Hiranyaksh demon who was extremely dangerous by the boon given by the god but misused his power with dharti Mata.

4) Narsimha(नर्सिम्ह)

Narsimha was incarnated to kill the demon king Hiranyakashipu because he forbidden his son Prahlad(greatest devotee of Lord Vishnu).

5) Vaman( वामन)

Vaman avatar was incarnated to send Mahabali to Patala lok.

6) Parshuram(पर्शुराम )

In tretayug, there were lots of cruel kings and turturing the peoples and the whole world. So Parshurama killed 21 Chhetriya kings. Parshuram was one of the cheeranjivi(immortal)

7) Rama( राम)

Rama also incarnated in Tretayug to kill the demons kings like Ravana, his brother Kumbakaran and many other demons.

8) Krishna (कृष्ण )

Shri Krishna was the 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The main aim of his birth is to kill the Danab
including his maternal uncle Kansa. Another reason was to preach the Geeta to whole world.

9) Buddha( बुद्ध )

Buddha was born as a 9th avatar of Lord Vishnu. He was incarnated to help the individuals to attain the good life.

10) Kalki(कल्की)

Kalki will be 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu, it will evolve at the ending phase of Kali Yug

Ram temple: fight for own place

Ayodhya is a birthplace of God Ram who was the 7th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. After the Jal Samadhi( Water Burial), his son Kush started to rule the Ayodhya. Its all about the Treta Yug. all the history were depicted in Ramayana, poem by Kalidas( Raghuvamsa). Once Famous explorer Hiuen Tsang came Ayodhya for exploring purpose and he also written in his article that there were lots of Ram temples in Ayodhya. All things were going well till 14th century when Bikram Aditya was the king of Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh before 11th century. He incripted in stone in Ayodhya. After his reign, King Jayachandra started to rule at 12the century. Foreign invaders especially Mughals initiated Invading at 14th century.

First Mughal emperor was Babur and Mir baqi was the commander at that time. They destroyed all the temples in Ayodhya and Babur ordered the construction of Mosque at the side of the Ram's temple in 1528 AD. Fedai Khan , the governer of Mughal destroyed the Ram Temple in 1660 AD and the huge Masjid were built. In opposition of that lots of movements were initiated after the demolition of Hindu's temple. In 1853, there were first riot by the Hindu. This was a war of religions. In 1859, the British permitted both Ram Chabutra and Mosque, fenced between them.

Mahant Raghubir Das filed a petition in Faizabad court in 1885 AD for the construction of Ram's temple. Unfortunately, the court had rejected the request. 1933-34 Riots between Hindu and Muslim occured due to cow sluttering resulted damage of wall around masjid and one of its dome. It was renovated soon by british Indian government. In 1944 a commissioner of UP had gave the property right of Mosques area to sunni.

India celebrated Independence day in 15th August 1947. After at 1949 dec 23, the statue of Ram chandra was found inside the Masjid miraculously which leads to big issue. It was sealed thereafter. One year later Gopal Visharad and Ram Chandra Das filed on court to permit the idol inside the mosques. The petition had been submitted to government in UP's Sunni board explaining the excluding of Ram ji impression from the Masjid in 60's.

Now the religious conflict became the integral of politics. Several investigations had concluded that the Mosque had been desecrated and it was locked due to order of Government of India.  In 1980, Atal Bihari Bajpayi had won the election from BJP. Later on, VHP( VIshwa Hindu Parishad)  began demolishing the Mosque and Builiding Temple. In 1986 Krishna Mohan Pandey suggested to remove the lock and allow the Hindus in shrine. BJP won by 86 seat in 1989 and VP singh started to led the government thereby structuring Mandal commission. But that commission created the intercast bordline and harmony disbalance between lower and upper class caste in India

In 1990 sept, BJP, VHP, RSS initiated movement for building Ram temple. In Oct 14 of 90's BJP organized Rath Yatra(" Chariot Journey") from Delhi to Ayodhya.  But Mulayam Singh Yadav proceed to defeat the plan and action. VP singh wanted to take credit so he ordered to complete lockdown. In 30 oct 1990, police ban all the train and buses to Ayodhya. But the blockage of government didn't affect the kar sevaks or activist. 28000 armed police forces were deployed to restrict the activist. Almost all sevaks were arrested and put into police vehicle. But they escaped from the ven  and went towards Mosque. They successfully placed a flag of Shri Ram at the top of Masjid. Again, at nov 2 same incident reoccured. Mulayam Singh ordered to arrest them. 150000 activists were arrested at that time. However, lots of people successfully reached to Ayodhya and one volunteer placed a flag on The Mosque. Other crowd demolited the mosque by using axes and hammers. This incident created the brutality in the whole country especially Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, Kanpur, Delhi and Ayodhya were under the gambit of violence . About 2000 people were died at that time. In 1993 March 12, Mumbai people faced  13 Serial Bomb blast organized by Muslim Terrorist.

Now the religious battle became the legal battle. Court started to collect the proofs, Historical record, religious beliefs from 2002 to 2010. At september 30, 2010 the Ilahabad court had decided to divide 2.77 acres land to Sunni waqf Board, Nirmohi Akhara and Ram lalla. But all three parties were against the division of land. Finally the supreme court verdict of ayodhya had decided to handed over the disputed land to trust formed by Indian government for the construction of Ram Temple. Also the Muslim religious got 5 acres land in important place of Ayodhya.

Re-building of Ram's temple were started from 2020 August 5 with traditional as well as modern style. Now it is going to inagurate again on January 22, 2024 after the fight from 492 years. 108 Feet insence stick ( Agarbatti ) is going to fire on the day of inauguration.

" ब्रम्ह सत्यम जगत मिथ्या "or " जगत सत्यम ब्रम्ह मिथ्या "

"ब्रम्ह सत्यम जगत मिथ्या" and " जगत सत्यम ब्रम्ह मिथ्या " are two controversial quotes to each other. Someone believes on former and some on later.

  " ब्रम्ह सत्यम जगत मिथ्या "

This means, the creator or bramha is true but the rest of the things around us or nearby us are fake or something that exists temporarily. The creator is always same and permanent. Actually the matters we see around us can take different forms, for example the gold we see can be formed in various Jewelleries and also can make liquid if we heated in high temperatures so the formation is temporary in nature but the main atoms are of gold that will not change into other metals. Likewise, every living beings die oneday, the body will be burnt or burried but the atma or soul will take another body and exist. So the body is also temporary but the soul (bramha) is permanent or true.

   " जगत सत्यम ब्रम्ह मिथ्या "

This is another controversial quote against first one. One sage from Ramayana, Sage Jawali was atheist (नास्तिक) in nature. He didn't follow any gods and Vedas. He always think there is no bramha or creator, we human beings and any other matters formed scientifically in this world. He thought Soul is nonsense thing and it is not transferable from one body to another.  He quoted these lines " जगत सत्यम ब्रम्ह मिथ्या "

Ram was in Mahabharata war, then?

God Ram chandra was peaceful and straightforward in nature as depicted in Ramayana. But Krishna was strategic person that he can fit the situation in a right equation and handle it.

In Mahabharata war, Pandavas were extremely weaker than Kauravas due to the lack of warriors. The great warriors like Bhisma Pitamah, Guru Dronacharya, Karna, Ashwathma along with many more combatants were there in Kauravs against Pandavas. Bhisma Pitamah had a blessed to live as long as he wanted, by his father Shantanu. No one could defeat him. Guru Dronacharya were also almost impossible to kill easily. In the side of Pandavas, there were few warriors where 5 Pandav's son who were leading the group. Lord Krishna and Hanuman were vowed not to fight in the war. Arjuna followed the idea given by Krishna, so Pandavas got chance to win the war.

If Ram was there in spite of Krishna, he couldn't win the war undoubtedly. The main reason behind this is lack of plan of action and tactics. Ram, himself was the portrayal of Geeta principles. He was always an adherent of truth and dharma.

Maryaada Purushottam Ram never lied to anyone and never cheated to anyone. Lord krishna had cheated to warriors of other side during the battle only for preserving Dharma(immorals). Pandavas couldn't win it if lord Krishna didn't cheat there. If Ram was there, the team will surely defeated the match.
