Mushroom in Nepal



A umbrella shaped fungi, which grow into the humus is a mushroom. Mushroom is widely distributed all over the world. The nepalese consume mushroom as a vegetable tastefully and most of the people take it as a favourite one. They are great source of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, B-complex etc.

Economic Important

  1. As a food source, there are more nutrients contained in it. Moreover, mushroom is tasteful.
  2. Mushroom growing farm can be conducted which helps us to improve our economy and also provides an opportunity to achieve employment
  3. Even landless people can obtain nutrient after collecting and consuming it as a food,hence no one have to face malnutrition in the world.
  4. Mushroom is anti-tumor as well as  immuno-stimulant in properties, so we can manufacture medicines from mushroom. So it has medicinal importance.


Cultivation of Mushroom 

The process of cultivation of mushroom is widely known as fungiculture. This scientific technique is nowadays adopted as a part of business. People earn money from fungiculture. But some failed to distribute their business because of rediculous knowledge. While culturing the mushroom in closed room we must think about the parameters needed to cultivate fungi as a naturally it grows in it's way. We can consume the mushroom as a food after 25 days of settlement of culture.

Fungiculture has several steps.


Harmful Effect of Mushroom

Some of the species of mushroom are harmful or some killed spontaneously after consuming it, is known as non-edible mushroom. For instance, yellow morel, Mycena galericulata, Coprinopsis picacea, Fly agaric etc are non-edible mushrooms.


 






Impoverished people are the victims of negative effects of this mushrooms. They are obligate to consume these because of their hunger and lack of knowledge. Human being should aware of being victimized, so first take a knowledge and apply it as a vegetable.
